After doing Chiang Mai, Bangkok, Khao Sok and sea kayaking for three days in Phang Nga Bay we came here to celebrate Ulf’s 50th birthday! We had read about both Haadyao and Libong Nature Resorts in Swedish papers and magazines. It sounded interesting with a Thai paradise somewhat off the road, without too many other tourists and with ambitions for environmental sustainability. And we have definitely not been disappointed.
The people here are all very friendly. The locals seem to enjoy our presence and the staff have been absolutely wonderful. We truly appreciate the small scale tourism, the opportunity to visit a chao ley village and the concern about the environment. Keep it up! And please don’t let the cooperation with Swedish SIDA turn this place into a “Skansen”. You really helped to make Ulf’s birthday special and memorable. Picking beautiful flowers in the morning, cooking a delicious dinner with a big surprise for desert and making us sing and laugh.
