Hooray for the fish owl! The buffy fish owl put on quite a show for us during dinner last night – amazing bird! We had a lovely paddles through the mangroves yesterday, and good guona cave fun. We were lucky enough to see a group of langurs on our beach walk. They were jumping from the tree, happily munching leaves and seemed completely unconcerned by us. Who can resist those adorable white-rimmed eyes? The brahming kites and a white bellied sea eagle were cruising around the cliffs and over the water and we followed the tracks of a small monitor lizard as it picked its way along the rocks. Very neat spot!
Now we are off to Libong. If the weather cooperates, hopefully we’ll get to go out in search of the dugongs. Thanks so much for the great food and conversation with everyone here at the resort – we were very well cared for!
